Judge Sheila Stinson serves as a District Judge in the Oklahoma County District Court. She began her judicial career in 2017 as a Special Judge and was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt as a District Judge in July 2020. She was re-elected without opposition in 2022. She serves as Vice-Presiding Judge of the 7th and 26th Judicial Districts and will assume the role of Presiding Judge in January 2026.  She currently presides over a Civil Docket, having previously served as Chief District Judge of the Oklahoma County Juvenile Division and having presided over a Family and Domestic docket. Before taking the bench, Judge Stinson founded and managed the Stinson Law Group and has practiced law in Oklahoma City since 2002. She also served as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University School of Law.

 

   Sheila Stinson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma. During her time at UCO, she was actively involved in campus leadership, serving as the first Vice President of the UCO Student Association. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was named a Distinguished Alumni in 2021. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma, where she served on the Oklahoma Law Review.
